Teamwork is what we eat for breakfast.

The word 'teamwork' is overused and, frankly, has been used so much that it has has lost its meaning. In our world, I can't think of a better word to describe the collaborative culture that we foster at Trent Creative. If two heads or three heads or even four is better than one, we will come together and problem solve each clients projects to get to the best solution that there is. This is not to say that there are many times that one person is all it takes. We have a saying that we all adhere to 'Don't Fix Blame, Fix Problem.' As a team we have a great time 'fixing' problems together.


Marilyn Trent
Principal, Sr. Strategist & Creative Director

Marilyn Trent started with little more than a Bachelor of Fine Arts, her creative talent, tenacity and commitment to satisfying the design needs of her clients when she first started Trent Creative in 1991. Over the past two decades she has turned that business into a successful, full service brand development and interactive and print design agency while simultaneously raising two daughters and acting as a catalyst for positive social and ecological change in her community.

Marilyn is a certified brand strategist and is  responsible for her clients overall strategic branding and marketing strategies. She works with the Art Director's in both print and interactive to ensure that the highest quality agency copy and creative are consistently delivered for maximum results. She also helps clients discover the best way to turn abstract goals into concrete deliverables and makes sure that a constructive working relationship is established between the client and assigned production team.

Marilyn gives three or more branding presentations to groups of business owners throughout the region each year and serves on two boards—the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Rochester Downtown Development Authority.

Adrienne Lenhoff
Marketing & PR Strategist

Adrienne Lenhoff has been counseling and guiding clients' marketing communications programs for more than two decades. Lenhoff has also paved the way in social media and influencer marketing and, for many, she has also played an integral role in procuring and overseeing numerous multi-million dollar, multi-national joint venture and business development relationships.

Lenhoff has worked on a myriad of accounts within a variety of industries ranging from entertainment, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, high-tech, nonprofit and professional services. Whether focusing on business-to-business or consumer campaigns, Lenhoff has earned a reputation fro finding high-impact, yet cost-effective solutions that generate considerable return on investment for clients.

Michelle Baranowski
Client Services / Social Media Strategist

Michelle Baranowski is multi-talented and works both on the account and creative sides. She has a bachelor of applied arts degree in integrative public relations and journalism from Central Michigan University.

Whether through client management, social media strategy or conducting research based on the needs of each client, she provides creativity and attention to detail in all of her work. She works closely with the design and web teams to incorporate strategy for showcasing the most effective print and interactive materials to clients. Michelle also coordinates the production of each new project coming into the studio and manages it through to completion.

She stays on top of the newest trends in social media and marketing communications to ensure clients are always represented as innovative and fresh within their industry.

Michelle comes from a background in event planning, government relations and corporate communications. She managed, coordinated and executed numerous corporate events both large and small; developed social media campaigns; executed media relations plans and coordinated sponsorship opportunities.

Ryan Riggs
Sr. Art Director / Interactive Designer

Ryan Riggs fulfilled his lifelong passion with art and graphic design by earning a bachelor’s degree from the College of Creative Studies. His graphic design degree and love for art drives his creativity and enthusiasm while developing concepts for the various clients of Trent Creative. As a UI Designer, he focuses on the end user visual experience and the intuitivity of the information architecture to make each website beautiful and easy to use.

He is a multi-faceted designer giving him the ability to work in both interactive and print design side by side. Ryan supports Trent Creative with branding, creative strategy, audio and video, and motion-graphics as well. He has designed and implemented websites for Mexicantown Detroit, Shop Dine Midtown, and South Oakland Shelter.

His past experience consists of work with D:Hive Detroit, Detroit Experience Factory, Czarnowski, and General Motors. In his free time, Ryan enjoys playing music, being outdoors, and gaming.

Scott McCabe
Interactive Media Director & Copywriter

Scott McCabe spent four years at St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD studying some of the greatest authors, philosophers and rhetoricians ever produced by Western civilization. His love of logic and literature has led him to a career as a copywriter and programmer. He has written for U.S. congressmen and multi-million dollar corporations as well as non-profits and local start-ups.

Scott is a PHP developer and SEO Stratgist. He is Google Certified in AdWords and has comprehensive knowledge of Javascript, HTML and PHP as well as years of practical experience designing, developing and coding websites. Recent websites that Scott has programmed include Powerlink, Art X Detroit, South Oakland Shelter, Erskine Law Group, Mexican Town, Shop/Dine Midtown and Paint Creek Center for the Arts.  He also provides support services for websites such as Revolve Detroit, Midtown Detroit Inc., Detroit Historical Society, Brasco International, Pennsylvania Steel and Titan Metallurgy.


Bailey Knudsen
Art Director

Bailey Knudsen is an illustrator/designer that has a passion for anything vintage and darkly humorous. After graduating from College for Creative Studies, Bailey moved to New York City to work for Rolex watches. Throughout her career she’s also had the opportunity to work behind the scenes for feature films and at an Alaskan fly-fishing lodge. Out of all the places she’s traveled and worked, the Detroit area will always be her first love, so she recently moved back from the Big Apple to her hometown of Rochester, Michigan. 

While working for Rolex, Bailey produced custom ads and billboards for the U.S. market, custom artwork for in-store displays, various event material, invitations, banners, menus, backdrops and illustrated company holiday cards while maintaining the brand integrity. She currently brings her talents and skills to the Trent Creative team and works on various client creative and marketing needs. When she’s not drawing you will find her daydreaming of faraway places, sewing, or lost in an aisle at John King’s Bookstore.

Tyler Brown
Art Director/Project Manager

Tyler Brown holds a degree in Illustration from the College of Creative Studies.  Graduating in 2015, he largely focused on 3D modeling and game art in the latter part of his college career.  Following graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to work for Activation Blizzard as a Game Tester and freelanced at a mobile game company as a Texture Artist.  Brown then moved to New York City securing a position at Rolex as a Production Artist then Graphic Designer. Tyler returned to Michigan first working at Tespo as a graphic designer and currently serves as an Art Director/Project Manager sharing his services with CMO and Trent Creative.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys playing guitar, hiking, creative-writing, concert-going and gaming.  He is a self-described “low-key adrenaline junkie” and loves all things darkly-humorous and nihilistic. 

Rachel Williams
Digital Marketing Manager

Rachel Williams comes to us possessing skills and experience in marketing, project management and media-based communication. She holds a BA and MA in Communication from Oakland University and served as their graduate assistant for athletics marketing; assisting in event coordination, social media marketing, production and project management. She helped produce content and events for 18 Division I teams including working on the social media campaign for Motor City Madness, the Horizon League basketball tournament, and overseeing and managing up to 12 interns and staff. While serving as a graduate assistant she took on the role of mascot coordinator, handling all hiring, organization and event coordination for the Oakland University athletics mascot.

Rachel currently serves as the Digital Marketing Manager at Trent Creative managing projects and creating media content. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys playing music, songwriting, exploring around town and cheering on her favorite college sports teams, the Golden Grizzlies.

Jeff Letson
Growth Automation Leader

Jeff's two decades of experience in marketing, sales, analytics and operations places him at the center of the emerging field of revenue operations. Revenue operations is the alignment of technology, automation, data and teams to create buying experiences that convert more leads to customers, and more new business to recurring business.

 In addition to both front line and executive leadership roles in marketing, sales and business intelligence, Jeff also holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at The University of Michigan. He is passionate about bringing the growth-enabling technologies and methods used by enterprise organizations to small and mid-size businesses.

Steve Udell
Chief Marketing & Brand Officer

Steve Udell is a marketing, branding and business management consultant whose background includes 10 years of extensive brand management and B2B/B2C marketing success. He also has over 13 years of consulting on the agency side, where he was a Senior Vice President of Marketing, Business Analysis & Strategy and SVP—Marketing Performance Analytics. 

He has experience in managing, developing and leading emerging, high-growth, established and turn-around businesses and has worked across dozens of industries. Steve led brands and companies to record sales and profits by heading long-term strategic planning, branding and positioning, marketing planning, communications and new product development. He also has licensing, retail store management and purchasing experience and a Marketing BBA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. 

Steve consults across a wide variety of brands and categories on varied business, marketing, media and communications projects and is involved in all facets of the marketing process: strategy, planning, brand building, program development, implementation, evaluation and reporting. He partners with clients and with agency account, strategic planning, research and media teams to synthesize customer, corporate, creative, competitive and other business inputs and to evaluate brand, company and industry strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and to make business management, marketing and analytics recommendations. 

Claire Charlton

Claire has been an active freelance writer for more than 15 years. Her approach to storytelling is journalistic in nature, and because of this, is skilled at interviewing individuals and distilling the most important messages, then sharing them creatively through the written word. Her work has won awards for the publications she writes for, and her editors appreciate the clean, on-point copy, delivered on or before deadline. She's proud to work as part of a team to share important stories with readers through a variety of media, including print, SEO-focused web copy, and podcasting.
