Background:
Founded in 1953, Eaton Steel Bar Company is a family-owned sales and support services company for hot rolled and cold drawn steel bar products. They are currently the largest special bar quality distributor in North America with sales exceeding 300,000 tons per year.

Challenge:
The company’s previous website needed replacing; its’ graphics, layout and limited functionality were outdated. They needed a new, fully-featured website that could feature prominently in their future marketing and customer relations. It needed to reflect Eaton Steel’s high standards and dedication to customer service while visually communicating their position as a leader in the steel bar industry.

Solution:
After several discovery and fact-finding meetings, we concluded that Eaton Steel has always gone that extra mile for their customers to the extent of creating innovative machinery to adding new lines of business. It’s been the key to their success and informs everything they do. The new site has a section dedicated to communicating this message to viewers with a video that can be viewed online. The website also communicates the size and scope of their company and services through its large animated backgrounds and beautifully detailed design elements.

The quality of Eaton Steel’s new website is far beyond that of their competitors and feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive. Eaton Steel’s site was recently featured at a MSCI Tubular Conference by a third party as an example of a company who is leading the way in proactively growing their internet exposure. Trent Creative has added an internal and internal communications piece through eNewsletters to their customers and .pdf newsletters to their employees.
